Painting creatively portrays the journey of the “Angels of Mercy”.  In their pursuit, they are bringing help and comfort for those in need and brightening the path in everyone’s life.  We must learn from the angels that we too, have a mission to offer solace and peace to all of those around us to create a balanced and happy life for our fellow man.  . . . Then and only then can the world survive.

     
 


“SLAVE UGLY CASTLE”©

This painting depicts the ancestor who survived the process and has returned to the slave castle with deep realization of the intent of its existence.  Though she exuberates beauty and calmness, beneath her beautiful garment in the cavity of her heart, she harbors the historically seated feelings of our ancestors.  In retrospect, it is pertinent to emphasize that it was never a ‘castle’.  This is one of the scenes of the ugly slave castle that manufactured beautiful slaves.  Hundreds of millions of Africans were ripped from their blood ties and culture, only to meet their demise in the cold waters of the Atlantic and in the belly of the unwholesome, sweat festered cargo ships.

In great rarity, it echoes, ‘If you heed the call, you will never deviate from your course.  Therefore, you will always be protected’.  The clothing is designed to attract attention; however, seldom is one cognizant of the existence of the phenomenal significance.  However, it dutifully maintains its purpose.
