“You either have it (art) or you don’t. You have it. You are one of us.”
World renowned muralist & art professor, late Dr. John Biggers
AVA COSEY
Graduate of a notable university, is a phenomenal artist
entering the art world. Quickly becoming one of the most
sought-after within the industry, this figurative artist developed her love for art
relatively later than most of her peers.
Without
prior interest in art, in 1997, for the first time in her life; guided by
“angels”, she experienced an epiphany that was the catalyst toward the
development of a remarkable talent. Having a restless urge to
give form to that vision, she uses the canvas and paint; which has
propelled this gift to unforeseen heights. She also gives credit
to the late B. Barnes who steered the course.
Works and paintings are created in (oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media); monoprints,
silkscreens, sculpting, molding, and etchings. With majestic
characters and universal themes, with the assistance of “Angels”, she
seamlessly captivates her audience, stimulating and electrifying them
with vibrant colors and contrasts. The warmth and originality of
her work draws the viewer into her realm and reinforces her position as
artist extraordinaire.
Cosey's involvement includes radio and television interviews, shows
include Los Angeles and New York, museum exhibitions, gallery
participation and a host of admirers
and collectors.
